The first full-band project since her departure from Bad Cop/Bad Cop, Jennie Cotterill has assembled a supergroup of dear friends: Kyle O’Neil (Fireworks), Sven Wallwork (Snitch, LA Crimes), and Candace Hansen (Alice Bag Band, dimber). Focused on collaboration, exploration, and intentionality, Reckoner has been working on complex, hooky, and experimental punk that synthesizes the members’ respective backgrounds since late 2023.
Reckoner are excited to create a mutual space for their individual corners of the
live/independent/punk music world. By broadening and connecting these spheres, they hope to foster a more inclusive community at their shows, which so far have brought together bands, drag artists, and tape jockeys. As Cotterill wrote on Instagram, “Let’s open this pit up!”
Featuring “Short Stories” and “One Size Fits All”, ‘Reckoner’ (S/T), the band’s recording and vinyl debut, was produced, recorded, and mixed by Davey Warsop at Strong Studios and mastered by Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room.
Reckoner’s 7” record was proudly pressed by Third Man Pressing in Detroit, MI, USA.
There are two limited edition 7” vinyl variants:
Coke Bottle Clear (250x)
Transparent Magenta (250x)
